Surround pavers are use to "fill in" or surround your firebox opening. They are measured and cut in the field at the time of installation by your installer with a standard masonry saw to insure an accurate and easy installation.

To estimate the pieces needed calculate the distance for X and Y above from finished stone face to finished stone face. This should be the desired finished firebox opening size.
